GENERATION SNOW: AUSTRALIA'S WINTER STARS TAKE ON THE WORLD'S BIGGEST MOUNTAINS
SYDNEY, July 2012. Channel Nine presents Generation Snow, a one-hour television special following Australia's best winter athletes to the most exotic alpine locations on the planet in search of higher mountains and deeper snow. Executive produced by Tim Myers and narrated by Ken Sutcliffe, the annual series is redefining how snow sports are seen on Australian television.
This year's special travels from Utah and Jindabyne to the Dew Tour, Hakuba in Japan and the New Zealand backcountry by helicopter, cat and snowmobile, before a grand finale at Thredbo's One Hit Wonder. Viewers will ride along with Torah Bright, Russ Henshaw, the Segal sisters, Jossi Wells and more of the powder heroes and podium champions putting Australia on the world stage.
The action is captured by world-renowned cinematographers Chris Hocking, Lucas Wilkinson, Ben Ryan, Rob Norman, Dom Sullivan, Ryan Gardner, Jase Hancox and Sean Balmer, with high-speed Phantom Flex photography revealing every rotation of tricks that are over in a second.
